Joe Peña's in Esslingen am Neckar

Giant local, with a great concept. The food is delicious and prepared in a relatively traditional manner, even if a lot is bought in. Large selection of food and drinks, with a focus on the extensive cocktail menu. The waitresses are nice and very customer-oriented. Great recommendation.

In relation to other Mexican restaurants rather mediocre. The prices are therefore quite overpriced. The food looks good, but not as good as it used to be in terms of taste and quality

Great location, delicious Mexican dishes and first-class cocktails ?? If you are looking for all this, this is the right place. Food is always top quality and the staff is courteous and very friendly. We will be back definitely. I can highly recommend it!

We actually like to eat there more often and very much, but today we were no longer served despite a reservation and my birthday shortly before 8.30 p.m. because the table was still given. Although I had expressly stated when making the reservation that we wanted to stay longer, as my daughter came a little later, we were pretty much processed with the food and then simply no more drink orders, unfortunately really disappointed with the service ... :-(

Unfortunately, we can't always go there, but every time we enjoy the food! The service is great as always and the food is wonderful, price-quality is very good! Always my pleasure!!

As in every Joe Pena, I was satisfied. The food was always delicious and the hygiene was also good. I can recommend it.

Overall not very good. In relation to other Mexican restaurants rather bad. The selection of drinks is small and quite overpriced. The food looks good, but not so good in taste and quality. The atmosphere is okay, but a bit loud and there is only reggaeton music playing all the time. Operation is okay.

Hard to compete with California Mexican, but it does okay. Some of the food is very good, but most is passable. More than half of the restaurant is the bar, where it's allowed to smoke :-( The other half has low tables and chairs that are very uncomfortable. Not open for lunch. Still the best Mexican option around Stuttgart

Was there with 3 friends but unfortunately can't say anything about the drinks and food as we still couldn't order anything after 15 minutes. In between, a waiter came and wanted to bring us drinks that weren't for us, then we said that we hadn't ordered anything yet. But then unfortunately no waiter came! And that with a well-staffed staff and few guests!

Amazing food, nice cozy place?

Food is perfect, stuff professional and friendly, very fast. You could hear music but still normally talk. Food was also very fast finished. Coctails very tasty. All recommendations for this place.

Really professionally managed gastronomy and despite the high number of seats, the service staff takes time for the guest. The kitchen maintains its quality standard for a period of 10 years. Only the interior seating in the non-smoking area could be replaced by more comfortable chairs / armchairs.

Were there tonight with four people and a baby. Despite rush hour and stress, all employees were more than friendly and the lady in charge even conjured up a table for us, which I have never experienced. Waiter just as great. Great food for a "chain". So people keep it up, fully deserved that you are so well attended. And the boss can think about a raise :-)

Very delicious food & cocktails, service and wait staff totally nice and courteous. Unfortunately I have to deduct 2 stars for the waiting times. We waited 20 min to order, another 20 min until the meal came, 40 min waited for our cocktails and almost 30 min to pay (despite addressing several times), although the restaurant was not even half full, was on a Wednesday afternoon . As I said, eating really great :) but whether I will come again, I honestly do not know .. were very annoyed in the end, as we waited more than we could actually "switch off".

Always like to come back here. The cocktails and the food are always delicious and the prices for the portions are absolutely okay. When the shop is well attended, it can get a bit noisy inside. But that doesn't bother me personally.

There were four of us on a Thursday evening at Joe Peña's in Esslingen. The bar was only half full and the service staff was overwhelmed. After we asked for our ordered drinks several times after three quarters of an hour, the service staff told us unfriendly that they were understaffed and that we had to be patient. This bad rating goes more to the management due to the personnel misplanning, because the food was very good despite everything!

Top for Spanish food and for dance salsa, kizomba, Bachata. Dance time at 23h - 1h in morning.

Excellent mexican food in the center of Esslingen. Food 5/5 - Main and side dishes taste great. Certainly a combination of good ingredients and a capable cook. Furthermore the food was served in a timely manner despite the restaurant being quite crowded. Service 5/5 - Staff is friendly, takes orders quickly and isn't intrusive. Reservations are required for weekends. Location 3/5 - Seating is packed too tightly to a degree that feels uncomfortable. The chairs themselves are worn down and the tablecloth is just a piece of paper. Music can be a little too loud at times. Separation between smoking- and non-smoking-area is appreciated. Payment by debit card is possible. Overall I would surely visit again to try different menu items.

Soup wasn't good at all, so watery and you can count all the details. Waiters were so confuse and we were waiting and waiting and after 3 times reminder finally they brought our order. But it was warm and nice
